The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has issued a final and unequivocal reminder to
all registered Business Owners, Company Directors, Secretaries, and Partners of Incorporated
Partnerships in Ghana: the deadline for the filing of Annual Returns and the Renewal of
Business Names remains Friday, 30th June 2025. No extensions will be granted beyond this
date.
This announcement follows an earlier notice published on 14th April 2025, urging all defaulting
companies and businesses to regularize their status. Companies that fail to file their Annual
Returns, complete with financial statements, by the stated deadline will be classified as non-
compliant and subjected to a statutory penalty of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000.00),
in addition to applicable filing fees. Further non-compliance could lead to delisting from the
official company register, with adverse legal and reputational consequences.
In light of this directive, Built Financial Technologies, a digital platform dedicated to equipping
small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the tools to run profitable and compliant
businesses, urges all Ghanaian enterprises to take immediate steps toward filing their Annual Returns and Renewing their Business Names before the stipulated deadline.
While Built does not directly register or file returns for businesses, it plays a pivotal role in
helping SMEs organize their operations, maintain accurate records, and access essential services
that enable timely regulatory compliance.
Specifically, Built can support businesses in the following ways:

and provides a clearer understanding of compliance standing.

Built continuously provides its users with resources, including articles, webinars, and how-to
guides, focused on regulatory obligations, financial best practices, and business sustainability.
These materials empower SMEs to act with clarity and confidence.
The Time to Act Is Now
With less than a month remaining before the statutory deadline, all businesses are strongly
encouraged to review their current status and complete the necessary filings as soon as possible.
The penalties for non-compliance are not limited to monetary fines but also include risks to
business continuity, credibility, and access to future opportunities.
Built Financial Technologies remains committed to supporting Ghanaian businesses not only in
achieving profitability but also in fulfilling their legal responsibilities. By leveraging Built’s
platform and partner ecosystem, SMEs can position themselves to meet the 30th June deadline
with clarity and compliance
